Congratulations Parents of the Class of 2023! [and students :) ]
Less than 80 days and your student will soon be walking one/two stages. This is a crazy, busy time for all of us and I wanted to take the time to make sure that you have all the pertinent information to get through the next couple months.
Please also note: I want our seniors to finish strong and make GOOD CHOICES for the next 80 days. [read below about VAPING]. I tend to operate from a positive perspective and I would like to focus on DOING THE RIGHT THINGs, instead of focusing on the bad. So, let's celebrate this exciting time by TCOB'ing. Cap and Gowns were Delivered on Tuesday, Feb. 28th-Does your Senior have his/hers?
Senior cap and gown information was given in October. I have sent numerous emails to students to remind them to TCOB and get their C/G. The C/G can be used for both LSC and NCISD graduation. What to do IF your student has not ordered a C/G:

Top 10 Honors Breakfast, Friday, April 28th
IECHS will honor the TOP 10 RANKED SENIORS in the Class of 2023. Invitations will be sent to the students when grades are locked in after the 3rd 9 weeks. More information to follow for those that will be involved in this.
Vaping and Graduation DO NOT go hand in hand-please READ
I recently just shared this information with your senior. Please see the below email sent to ALL IECHS students AND we will also have a senior meeting next week to reiterate the importance of good choices:
Just got word from NCISD student services: any senior that is expelled due to vaping and/or possessing any vape product on campus will result in expulsion AND not be able to walk the stage at graduation. This also includes LSC-KW.
I do NOT anticipate anyone making poor choices with 9 weeks left to go. Please make sure you are not bringing ANYTHING ON THIS CAMPUS that will cause us to do a search. It is my hope you are making good choices. PLEASE CONTINUE TO DO SO....let's graduate!!!!!!!!!
Seniors Decorating their Graduation Cap
While I LOVE a good decoration on a grad cap, it is NOT acceptable for the IECHS graduation. Please note: IF your senior has a decorated cap on May 19th, NCISD graduation day, they will not be permitted to walk. They can chose to purchase another or chose to not walk. What they chose to do with their cap for LSC graduation is all up to them but it is my hope that they represent us in a respectful manner. Additionally, if decorating for LSC, remember, it needs to be removable for the next weekend graduation for NCISD. Make sense????

SENIORS DO NOT ATTEND SCHOOL AFTER MAY 19th GRADUATION
Seniors do not attend the last week of school on the calendar. They have already graduated. Seniors will NOT be allowed on campus AFTER MAY 19th because the underclassmen are taking final exams.
