About a Dope Sheet
A Dope Sheet, also known as an Exposure sheet is an animation tool that helps animators organise their thoughts and ideas. It is made up of five sections and is slightly longer and narrower than an A4 piece of paper. The five sections are, the column on the far left is used for notes on how the action should be visualised. The next column is used to write any dialog that may be used in the scene. The middle column is split into six smaller columns, each one representing one level of animation. The final column is used for camera instructions. The top of the sheet is where the sequence number, page number, scene number and scene name is written.
