LHS Weekly Update #17
November 20, 2020
Happy Thanksgiving to you!
This past Wednesday was midquarter. I encourage all parents/guardians to sit down with your high school student(s) and go over current grades in Powerschool. Reach out to teachers with any questions.
As of right now the district will stay All Remote until Dec. 1. For Lathrop this means no students in the building, most staff working from home, and a reduction in our office hours. Come pick up/drop off items from 11am-2pm week days. We do have staff manning the phones every school day from 7:30am-3:30pm so call with any questions or if you need to set up an alternate time to pick up materials. 456-7794
Freshmen and Sophomores will participate in MAP testing over the next two Wednesdays.
Math MAP: Wed. Nov. 25th - 9th and 10th grade students currently taking math
Reading MAP: Wed. Dec. 2 - 9th and 10th grade students currently taking English
Math and English teachers will give information on this during class. Any questions contact Assistant Principal Rich Harrelson.
Quarantine is Hard
There is no doubt about it, being stuck at home day after day is difficult. This article from Stronghearts Native Hotline is an excellent read: Wellness Tips for Quarantine
Thanksgiving with Nutrition Services
We continue to provide breakfast and lunch to ALL district students free of charge. Pick up is 9am-1pm week days. On Wednesday, Nov. 25 a special Thanksgiving meal will be provided. To help our staff know how many meals to provide, please pre-order through k12northstar.org/nutrition.
