Mad Hatter's Ball - Help Wanted!
A Note on Attendance!
Spring Break is April 3rd-7th. We appreciate everyone’s efforts to avoid taking extra time off before or after the break. Please remember allergies are not a reason to miss school. If your child has Asthma and/or Allergies, please reach out to the clinic to complete an Asthma and/or Allergy Plan. You may also keep medication for them at school to help control symptoms by completing an Administration of Medication Form. Our clinic worker is Esveyde Recendiz and she would be glad to assist you with this process. Please encourage your child to come to school every day they can. Every day of school is an important opportunity for students to learn as well as to connect with their peers and teachers.
We thank:
● Our students and their families who do their best to show up daily even when it isn’t easy.
● Our teachers who go above and beyond to make school a welcoming and safe place for all students to learn.
● Our administrators who help us work together to ensure we create a physically and emotionally safe and engaging learning environment.
We appreciate each one of you. May these Spring break days off be restful and rejuvenating.
● If your family or your child needs support, please reach out to your school counselor for help.
● We look forward to seeing you again when school resumes on April 10th.
A Message from Dyer's Counselor's
At the end of the Child Lures Sexual Abuse Prevention lessons, the school counselors are asked to send out this Family Emergency Plan. Parents can choose to print it or use it as a discussion starter for making a plan with their children regarding where they are allowed to go as well as who they are allowed to contact or accept rides from in the event that their parents or guardians are unavailable. Of course, at Dyer only guardians and people listed as emergency contacts will be allowed to have contact with or check out children. It may be helpful to discuss the information on this Family Emergency Plan in the event your children are away from home and approached by a stranger, or you are unavailable to pick up your child from a friend’s house or other location. Please reach out to your student’s school counselor if you have any concerns about your child’s safety or any other concerns.
