Reminders from the Health Office
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
The Illinois school code requires that students entering school for the first time, (early childhood, kindergarten, or first grades), students entering kindergarten, sixth and ninth grades, and transfer students must submit evidence of a physical examination and a complete record of immunizations. These records must be submitted immediately to the Health Office if you have not done so. Those in non-compliance will be excluded on September 6. Contact the Health Office with any questions.
ILLNESSES
Please call the attendance line, 630-682-2066, if your child will not be attending school for the day. Remember to include the reason for the absence. Communicable illnesses such as pink eye, strep throat, influenza, chickenpox, head lice and fifth disease are monitored for any significant increase in our school community.
If your child has a fever of 100͐ or above or experiences vomiting or diarrhea they should remain home until they are symptom-free without medication for 24 hours. Complete information can be found in the student handbook.
INJURY/RECESS
If your child has an injury which keeps them out of PE class, please make sure you send the doctor’s note to school. Be aware that if your child is not able to participate in PE class, they are also unable to participate in recess.Community Education Classes from NAMI DuPage
