Parent Council
We are already planning for our Parent Council for the 2022/2023 school year. Our first meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 7th at 6:00 PM at the school. We are always looking to welcome new members and will be seeking nominations for the 2022/2023 executive.
We ask all families to consider participating in our Parent Council to share your voice, and work with us to build a nurturing, inclusive and welcoming school community that seeks to serve each other and all of our students!
GSACRD Voice - It's what's on the inside that matters!
We live in a world that seems to be driven by aesthetics. TV, movies, social media… everything points to the importance of being “beautiful”. But who is to say what is and isn’t beautiful? This idea that looks are all that matters can be quite damaging to the self-esteem of children and youth.
We are all wonderfully amazing in our own ways. We can empower ourselves and our children to be all that they can be by choosing our words carefully and using compliments that will help boost self-esteem regardless of what someone looks like. Take a moment to read the list created by Big Life Journal of compliments that you can use that have absolutely nothing to do with how someone looks - these are the words that may help your child feel more confident and positive about who they are!

Nature Kindergarten
We are very excited about our new Nature Kindergarten program being offered at END in the fall. Nature Kindergarten is an extension program that will afford those students registered with the opportunity to experience learning through play in an outdoor environment. This program will provide students the opportunity to spend the entire day at END, mornings will find participation in the regular kindergarten classes (either French Immersion or English stream), followed by participation in Nature Kindergarten in the afternoon. There are still spots open for registration! For more information please contact the school and visit the link below.

COVID - 19 - Protocol Update
In light of the lifting of all remaining restrictions related to COVID-19, GSACRD will be discontinuing its practice of reporting positive cases to the school community via email and on our Division website.
While we understand that it is no longer mandatory, it is still strongly recommended to isolate for 5 days after testing positive for COVID-19. Moving forward, it will be a continued expectation that students and staff stay home when experiencing symptoms of illness. This practice will be the new normal, as we aim to reduce the spread of viruses and infections in our schools.
