Weekly Reminders April 4-8

Raven Homeschool, Juneau Office

A Note from your Teacher

Thanks to all the families who have submitted Q3 grades or contacted me that they will do them this weekend. Please let me know if you need any assistance from me. ~Joan

With the increased daylight, sunshine and warmth, all I want to do is go outside. Though my arm is still very painful from the surgery, I hope to at least take some long walks and breath the spring air. Have a lovely weekend. I’ll be in the office Tuesday - Friday next week. ~Theresa

Coming up this week...

Art Activity "Love Those Anemones"

Friday, April 8th, 2-3pm

8391 Airport Boulevard

Juneau, AK

Students in grades K-5 will look at pictures of sea anemones and discuss radial design. They will learn about primary colors and then paint a large anemone with a wave-line background. We also hope to create a new mural to go up at our office to decorate the wall, so the more kids we have, the more full our mural will be. This is also the perfect way to get excited about the Sea Week program at DIPAC next week. Please RSVP below or to juneau@yksd.com so we can have enough materials ready.

RSVPs are enabled for this event.

Parent Advisory Committee Meeting - Friday, April 8 @ 2pm

We would like to look ahead to next school year to start planning which activities and field trips we should repeat and which ones were not as popular. There are also some awesome spring activities in May-June that we want to give extra details about and get help with planning and promotion.

Since this PAC meeting will be at the same time as the Art Activity, we are hoping to have a lot of parent participation this month. If you have a student that is older than the age range of the activity, please still bring them along because we would appreciate having some older student helpers for the activity.

We will also have some healthy snacks to go along with our meeting. Let us know if you have any questions. We hope to see you here!
