News for the week of October 29-November 2

Google-Emails as Task, Send EMS From Gmail, Create Templates in Google Drive, Geek Out Lunch

Hello. Some more Google Tid Bits can be found on Going Google Vol. 3. I have all 3 volumes posted on my Technology Site.

Also, don't forget to come "Geek Out" with Barbara and I during your lunch in the library. You will be introduced to the MimioPad. You will be able to check one out and take it with you!

Technology Binder on Carts

I have placed a technology binder on each team cart. It has the number and host name for each computer. Please have the students initial and date when they take a netbook. I shared a copy for your use in Google Drive. You can alter it to meet your team needs. Please remember if you have a tech request, to use the life saver on your desktop. It allows me document campus needs and stay better organized. Also, please don't hesitate to ask for assistance planning a lesson or finding out more about Google ect...

Smore....

Smore-Going Google....

Okay, I did not say snore.... I said Smore..It is a great way to present ideas to parents or students. It does require an email address for use. The ITS are using it to send out monthly technology updates for you. I have attached the following link to the Technology page on our website. "Going Google" I used Smore to make this simple newsletter for you...

Another Tip....Google Drive for storage...

Too many passwords and usernames to remember? Create a spreadsheet under My Drive to store them in. No one will have access unless you share them. I would still abbreviate enough, so only you know the total password. Hopefully, your team is sharing out documents you can all edit in real time. You can even chat as you edit.. Want to know more? I have an additional computer in my office if you want some help. I can also come during team or dept. time. Hint: I have a surprise to show you on Early Release. A new, engaging, tool to use with your students!
