Parent Newsletter - Week of February 7, 2022
A Message from the Principal
As we come back together on Monday we want to remind you that we are in the middle of NWEA testing, tutoring is set to begin, and we are spending time each day celebrating Black History Month. Please do your best to ensure your children (when healthy) are at school on time and stay throughout the day each day. Every second counts and we have already lost so much time due to the pandemic.
Wednesday, February 9th is our second student count day for the year. Attendance on this day is very important. If your child is not in attendance on the 9th then we have documentation that we must complete to prove that they are enrolled in our school. To help assist us in having less paperwork to do we ask that any child who is able to be at school on Wednesday be present for the entire day.
Outdoor recess will occur each day that the real feel is 10 degrees or higher. Please make sure that you send your children to school with coats and gloves. If you are in need of either please reach out to me and let me know.
Thank you!
After School Tutoring
Pick-up after tutoring for students who do not ride the bus will be in the front loop. Please be aware that buses will also be loading students in that area and we ask that you do not drive around the buses as they are loading. Staff will walk the students out of the building at 4:55, please plan to be there by then.

Student Birthday Celebrations
Beech does not allow for cupcakes, balloons, pizza, etc, to be brought in to celebrate student birthdays. We know that this could be disappointing for some children and for that we apologize. We have to monitor for food allergies and ensure that academic time is honored. Thank you for your support and understanding.
