Gregory Gardens Weekly Bulletin

Thursday March 28, 2019

Greetings from Administration

As we head into Spring Break we want to say thank you for the warm welcome we have received since arriving at Gregory Gardens. We are proud to be here supporting this close knit community.

When we return from break we will jump right into reviewing student expectations on campus. Please continue to talk to your child about appropriate language and behavior at school. It is our goal to create an environment free of offensive language and physical contact. To help support students towards success we have planned classroom visits by our counselor, Soul Shoppe Assemblies will be returning and supervision will be a priority. We look forward to welcoming students and families back to school on Monday April 8th.

Attached please find a Letter to the Gregory Gardens Community from Assistant Superintendent Jose Espinoza.

Gregory Gardens Elementary

Alice in Wonderland

Shout out to Mrs. Miller, Mr. Ralls, our 4th/5th grade students, and our amazing backstage parent squad, this week's performances were outstanding! They have been preparing since January and their hard work was evident! We are so proud of our performers, tech crew, and makeup artists.

Volunteer Opportunities

You've heard the saying....."It takes a village to raise a child" We are looking for volunteers to support students during lunch recess. If you love basketball, have epic four square skills or just love our Gators- please swing by the office to find out how you can help! Below is a link to the MDUSD volunteer instruction page.

Gregory Gardens Elementary School Wide Climate Survey

We need your feedback!!!!!! Please click on the parent survey below. The survey data is used to evaluate our Single Plan for Student Achievement goals as well as help our administrators in supporting our student's needs. SURVEY CLOSES MARCH 31st. Thank you in advance for your time.

PBIS/Soul Shoppe

We are proud to be in our 3rd year of PBIS. When we return from Spring Break we have 4 Soul shoppe assemblies scheduled for students. Assemblies are progressive and build on last year's lessons. They are designed to support kids by giving them conflict resolution tools that allow them to support each other as allies. Talk with your students about the strategies they are learning at our assemblies and how they can implement them in and out of the classroom.

Robert Shearer Preschool

UPDATE- We apologize for the misinformation- The preschool class opening at RSP is to be determined.
