Patriot's Pointe
January 8 - January 12 Vol. 2 Edition 20
Happy Sunday Patriot Families!
Greetings Patriot Families,
I trust that everyone has had a restful and relaxing Winter Break! Our students spent their winter break engaged in international travel to the Mediterranean visiting Monaco, Italy, Barcelona, and Niece! A special thank you to our staff who served as chaperones on the trip: Mr. Isham, Mrs. Cleary, Mrs. Lloyd, Ms. Cronin, Mrs. Seals, Mrs. Jean, Mrs. Respress!
We will have class meetings this week for 9th and 10th graders on Tuesday, February 27th and 11th and 12th graders on Wednesday, February 28th. Additionally, we will have our general body PTSO meeting on Wednesday, February 28th via Zoom at 6:15pm. The link for the meeting can be found further down in this newsletter.
We are so proud of our Patriot Wrestlers for making it to the State competition! Our Wrestling program is flourishing under the leadership of Coach Murphy! Congratulations are in order for our Lady Patriots in varsity basketball who fought hard on the road last week against Oconee County in the first round of the State Playoffs. We didn't get the outcome we wanted, but our girls fought hard! Congratulations on a great season and to all of our coaches! Our varsity boys basketball team is still in the hunt for a second state title and will play at home this Wednesday. They will get on the road for the Final 4 on Saturday, March 3rd at Savannah State University for a 3pm tipoff. There is plenty of Patriot action to see at home this week as our Varsity baseball, Girls and Boys Soccer teams will play at home and we are expecting to see support from everyone as these teams are competing at very high levels!
We are excited to support our students in their academic endeavors while providing them with a competitive advantage!

Friends and Family Sponsorship
We have a rich tradition in athletics here at Sandy Creek with more than 10 State Championships in sports such as football, basketball, track, and volleyball.
Our scoreboard was built in 1991 and we are in need of a new board to match our dynamic and talented athletic teams. The vision at Sandy Creek High School is to provide students a competitive advantage in whatever endeavor they choose after high school. With your assistance we can help the students prepare for those endeavors while branding your business and supporting our community. Please view the information attached about the sponsorship and digital scoreboard.
We would like to recognize our FIRST Family Sponsor, The Harvey Family! The Harvey Family has donated $1,000 to our scoreboard fundraiser and we are hoping you can match or double their contribution soon! Who will be next to accept the challenge????
Corporate Sponsorship
SCHS hopes that your company would be interested in becoming a premier sponsor for our digital scoreboard program! Athletic Spotlight
1st year on varsity, 1st year playing high school (yes she is a freshman) and already voted 1st team all-region. Congrats Madison Reckley, you are just beginning. She was also runner up for POTY… huge ceiling for this one.
I don’t think you will find a player that works as hard as she does. Two sport athlete that excels in both. 2 years in a row 1st team all-region. She will play basketball at the next level. Congrats Persia, keep grinding
Aila is harder herself than anyone could ever be. I am so proud that she is getting recognition. She is the leader of this ship. Congrats on making All-Region honorable mention. You deserve this!
3 year varsity player and finally someone else has noticed besides the creek coaching staff. Shayla will defend anyone in the state and has no fear. Congrats to our defensive engine Shayla Cox on making 2nd team all region.
For the 2nd straight season our PG, Jared White, is 2nd Team All-Region. His efficiency, percentages, & numbers have skyrocketed in every category this season. Congrats Jared!
Back to back for Micah Smith! Congrats Micah!
Another year & another 1st Team All-Region for Amari! Congrats!
The junior has officially made his name known after some huge performances on big stages this year. 1st team All-Region in his 1st year w/ an expanded role. Congrats!
All he does is show up during big moments & delivers. The heart of our team is PJ. Zero chance there are 11 players in our region better than him.
A 3 year Varsity member & new member to the All-Region teams is one of the biggest late bloomers in the southeast. Congrats on being selected 2nd Team Kani!
Sandy Creek wrestling at State! We are so proud of these young men!
Our ladies finished last night with an 11-1 win against Creekside. First home game was a big success Go ladies!!
Fine Arts Spotlight
Future 9th graders from Flat Rock MS, toured our school to decide how they will make their mark next school year! They were treated to breakfast and enjoyed performances from our Fine Arts Department!

PTSO
Did you know that your gently worn sneakers could help The Sandy Creek High School PTSO support even more students, faculty and staff?
Well, they can and here’s how…Our team is participating in a fundraiser where there is nothing to buy or sell; All we need is your support and your gently worn, used, or new sneakers!
Here’s how you can help:
As the seasons change and you clean out/organize your closets, gather as many pairs of sneakers that you no longer want; maybe you’ve out-grown them, they’re out of style, or out of season. If you and your household have 20 pairs, great! If not, don’t worry. You can ask your neighbors, friends, co-workers, and anyone in your social networks to help out. Every pair counts! The Sandy Creek High School PTSO will be collecting sneakers from December through February. Collections bins will be located in the front office.
The sneakers that we all collect will help raise money to support our program AND will help our environment by keeping sneakers out of landfills.
Can we count on you?

The Campus Parent portal is your source for student and family records, including household and individual contact information, attendance, school-based fees, academic planning (high school), forms, and report cards. The Parent portal also provides access to the GaDOE SLDS Portal. Please set up the parent Infinite Campus account first. The same username will be shared with Schoology to set up your parent account in Schoology. Because each login reflects the person associated with the username, it is recommended that a separate account is created for each parent.
- Usernames can be comprised of letters, numbers, the underscore, and dash.
- Please refrain from creating a username that is all numbers, as that will interfere with student data here in our district.
- After completing the setup of your parent portal account, please allow 24 hours for your new account information to be sent to Schoology before attempting to log into your Schoology parent account.
