Thank you all for your continued support of New Vision Charter School. Without your partnership, we could not do the amazing things that we do each and every day. Today, we celebrated 49 students who received Golden Feathers for the 3rd Quarter. What amazing leaders we have at our school, who challenge each other to be the best version of themselves each and every day.

As I have been interviewing candidates this week a question that consistently arises is what are you most proud of at New Vision. I love this question because I get an opportunity to brag on our amazing students and staff. I love that we are truly a family here, where everyone looks out for and cares for each other. We support each other and encourage each other to do better today than yesterday and better tomorrow than today. This goes for students, staff, and parents. I often feel like I need to pinch myself for getting the amazing opportunity to spend my days with the most amazing students, staff, and parents.

Thank you for sharing your children with us. It is truly our honor to walk with you in their education journey.

With much love and extreme gratitude,

Mary Baker

This week was a great first week back from spring break! It was great to hear about all of the adventures, travels, and memory making that took place during the break. From adventures in Hawaii to staycations it our Nighthawks made the most of their spring break!

This week was all excitement in the area of athletics with our boys basketball team clenching a spot in the Silver Division Playoffs taking place tonight in our gym. We are excited to see our boys soccer team getting out and making use of our turf field in the afternoons as well. Our athletic programs are quickly catching up to our academic prowess and Nighthawk Nation is making a name for itself in the Northern Colorado Independent League as a team to be reckoned with.

This week I was able to attend teacher job fairs to hire for the many positions that we have available at NVCS as a result of our continued growth model. In the 5 years of being a part of New Vision's admin team I can say that this year the quality of the candidates we are attracting is outstanding. We are excited to continue to grow our staff of amazing educators for the 21-22 school year to continue our tradition of excellence. Next year we will be expanding 4th and 5th grade to four sections, we will be adding to our middle school team to have three full teams (6, 7, &8) for the first time in New Vision history. The future is bright at NVCS and we are excited to continue to strive to be one of the top performing schools in Northern Colorado academically and athletically.

Have a great weekend,

Student Pedestrian Safety

Families,

We have been getting reports of unsafe behavior from students gathering at Maui Wowie Smoothie Shack. If your student is a walker, or attends Boys and Girls Club please speak with them about not loitering at this location and about pedestrian safety when traveling to their destinations. We will have staff supporting our neighboring businesses by encouraging walkers, bikers, and BGC members to continue moving to their destinations to ensure these reports regarding student safety do not result in an accident involving students.

Thank you for your support in this,
Marian Hejl

NVCS 4-8 Principal
