K-5 Shift to full-day remote starting Monday, Nov. 30th

Starting Monday, Nov. 30th ALL students K-5th grade are transitioning back to the full-day remote schedule. Please visit the following link: https://www.ccsd93.com/11-20-20 for details from D93 Superintendent Dr. Hill.


This means students no longer have an AM or PM session with their teacher. Each day, starting at 8:45 am ALL students will participate in various learning opportunities throughout the day. Their teacher(s) will have additional time to reach out to individual students or in small groups from 2:30- 3:45 pm Tuesdays-Friday (students are done at 2:15 pm on Mondays as in the past). Teachers will reach out to these students to schedule these additional opportunities when this occurs.

Students receiving Special Education Services

For students who receive special education services, your child's case manager will be in contact with you soon to determine the next steps with regards to full remote. Thank you!

CATs Time Reminder

Students engage in CATs every day (during their time at home) via Zoom. Students' participation in CATs each day is expected, so please support your child by setting reminders and timers for when their CATs starts. Please see the charts below for the CATs time. You can access the Zoom link on your child's SeeSaw/Google Classroom.


4th Grade: 8:55-9:35

3rd Grade: 9:45-10:25

5th Grade: 10:35-11:15

Kindergarten: 12:05-12:45

1st Grade: 12:50-1:30

2nd Grade: 1:35-2:15

Attendance

Every morning, students will join a class-wide Zoom meeting where they will check-in with their teacher. As a part of this meeting, the classroom teacher will take attendance. It is crucial that students make every effort to attend these meetings daily. For those who do not attend, they will be marked as "absent," and the CSS main office will reach out to families to verify their absence from school that day.

Reminder: Thanksgiving Break (No School)

Please remember that school is not in session from Wed (11/25) through Friday (11/27). The school will resume (full-day remote) on Monday, Nov. 30th.

Material Pick Up- Thursday, Dec. 10th

Reminder- Material Pick Up on Thursday, Dec. 10th (K-5) from 4-6 pm.


For students in grades K-5, we're asking families to pick up materials anytime between 4 - 6 pm.


As with the previous material pickups, please enter the back parking lot and follow the signage.


Staff members will be ready to assist you by placing your materials in your trunk. Please have your child's name (first/last), grade, and teacher name is written out on a piece of paper and placed in your car window. This will make the entire process much more efficient.
