Unity Week NEXT WEEK October 18-22

Williston Tigers will celebrate unity week the week of October 18-22. Our main goal for this week is to remind students about the importance of standing up against bullying and working together to make this the best place to attend school.

Unity Spirit Days

Monday- Mismatch Monday (Wear your best mismatched, wacky/tacky outfit)

Tuesday- Twin/Triplet Tuesday (Find a friend or two to twin with)

Wednesday- Wear ORANGE for Unity Day (Wear as much orange as you can find)

Thursday- Throwback Thursday (Pick a decade you want to represent 60s,70s,80s,90s)

Friday- School Spirit Day (Williston clothing items, Blue & Yellow)

*Halloween costumes are not approved for any of the spirit days*

Lunch Bunch

Each Wednesday our school librarian, Mrs. Maguire, hosts a "Lunch Bunch" for each of the grade levels. Students who sign up can choose from a variety of activities that change from week to week. This weeks activities included fall coloring, magnetic blocks, and Makey-Makey, which lets you transform everyday objects into computer interfaces.

Hispanic Heritage Month

Williston is proud to observe National Hispanic Heritage Month which is celebrated annually from September 15-October 15. It's an American observation honoring the history, culture & contributions that Hispanics have made to the nation over the years. Our ESL students worked very hard to create posters about Hispanic countries from around the world.

PBIS Character Trait of the Week: DETERMINATION

Determination - Setting a purpose or goal and working hard to achieve it

American author Og Mandino once said, “Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough.” You can apply this quote in your daily school routine. Set goals, work hard, be strong and keep your eyes on the prize! Stay determined to accomplish your goals!
