EMIS Club Day

The first club day was a success!!
Wednesday was our first early release club day! Students chose from a variety of clubs that they would like to participate in. Each student was selected to be in one of their top two choices for clubs. Here is a snapshot of some of our activities from 12-1 yesterday!
4th Grade Sports Club
Brief introduction to a variety of sports and time to compete against each other.
Craft Club
Students will use a variety of materials to make handmade crafts that they can take home.
Yoga Club
Learn a few basic yoga poses and how to connect your mind, body and breath to lead a more peaceful and stress-free life.
Drama Club
Readers theater, prop making, play performances.
Dance Club
Learning about different styles of dance and learning some basic dance moves. Learning how to count music and choreograph dances.
Cheer Club
Learning the basics of cheer --beginner motions, dances, cheers, stunts, and tumbling skills.
Lego Club
Using creativity and cooperative learning in building
STEM Club
Students will use science, technology, engineering, and math to creatively solve challenges using household materials, recyclables, and more.
Fabric and Dying Club
Students will create fabric banners using wax and dyeing techniques. We will also create a weaving project.
5th Grade Competitive Sports Club
Multi-sport competitive games, game play style
Music Club
Drumming, Boomwhackers, Xylophones, Body Percussion, and Cups!
Building & Engineering Club
Tackle challenges with a group and build things like bridges, towers, and chain reactions. Learn about the field of Engineering. Possible guest speakers!
