Virtual Curriculum Night (TONIGHT!!!!)
There will be TWO sessions.

Session 2 - 6:30pm
Each teacher will email families a zoom link so they can attend one of the two sessions. Both sessions will contain the same information and give an opportunity for questions and answers.
Zoom links for sessions will also be found on every teacher's Canvas homepage.
More than two children? All teachers will have one recorded session posted on their homepage after the event so you can get all the information about their curriculum and classroom plans.
We hope to see you all there!
Blended Information
School begins at 9:05am. Students cannot be in the building before 8:40am.
School ends at 4:00pm.
"A" students will attend school on Monday and Tuesday. They are virtual Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
"B" students will attend school on Thursday and Friday. They will be virtual on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
It is the expectation that on days they are not in class, they are still logging into Canvas and completing their work. It is imperative that they not miss an in person day as these days will be very important when completing their online coursework.
Unfortunately we cannot allow parents to walk their students to class or enter the building. We will escort your student to class each day.
Students MUST wear a mask at all times. We cannot allow students to stay in the building if they do not have on a mask. They will be given mask breaks throughout the day. The only time they will have masks off in the building is during their lunch/snack periods.
We will need you to send in the school supplies purchased with the student on the first day back. Please make sure you still have some basic supplies at home (paper, pencil, scissors, crayons) so if we go to virtual learning again, they are prepared.
Devices will be carried to and from school for the duration of the year as students will begin on a hybrid schedule and only be at school 2 days a week. The other 3 days a week they will continue virtual learning.
Every student needs a water bottle, mask, and device each day. Water fountains will not be turned on, but water bottle filling stations are available. Students may carry all of this in a backpack.
Breakfast and Lunch will be provided free for all students through December. If you are providing a lunch or breakfast for your student from home, we ask that you send it in disposable containers.
Please remember we must adhere to the dress code policy. Shorts must be no more than 2 inches above the knee and tank tops are not acceptable. Please make sure clothes do not have holes in them or inappropriate language/pictures.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR STUDENTS HAVE THEIR MASK, WATER BOTTLE, DEVICE AND CHARGER. They may carry a backpack.
Car Rider Arrival/Dismissal:
Car Riders will be at the back doors. See video below to know how to enter and exit car rider line. (it is only about 3 minutes long!).
You will enter the very back parking lot behind the building. Drive up to the building along the ramp so your passenger side faces the building.
Please DO NOT let your student out of the car until you pull up to the numbers and are greeted by a staff member. We also ask that you stay in one lane and do not run over the cones.
For staff and student safety, we cannot allow you to park in the back and walk your student in. We need all parents to stay in your cars.
Student cannot be dropped off before 8:40am.
LINC
If you are not enrolled in LINC but would like to be you can Brett Campbell at bcampbell@kclinc.org or call 816-316-5368.
LINC Hours:
Morning 7:00am-8:40am
Afternoon 3:55pm-6:00pm
If you are LINC, please do not pick up your student before 4:15. If you need to get them right after school, call and change them to car rider for the day.
Walkers/Bus Riders
What if I am late, need to speak to the office, or have something to drop off/pick up.
If you need to drop off or pick up students or things (such as a forgotten lunch or medication) you must park in the front of the school, come to the office window and knock. We will help you from there.
Medication
ALL medication must have the prescription with the medication, clearly marked with student names.
Students with asthma or severe food allergies will need to submit an action plan to our School Nurse. If you have questions about this, please call the office.
