What We're Looking For in Our New High School Principal
The Red Hook Central School District is seeking an exceptional educator to lead its nationally-recognized high school located in Dutchess County, New York.
The District is seeking candidates who possess passion and vision for: adolescent teaching and learning; meaningful post-secondary outcomes; establishing and maintaining positive rapport with students, staff, parents, and community groups; leading and sustaining thoughtful and intentional change; and leveraging resources to enrich student and staff learning.
General Requirements:
- Possess a strong vision for high school education
- Exceptional knowledge of programs and systems that lead to high outcomes for all students
- Supports an innovative school aligned with 21st century skills in our graduate profile
- Focuses on elevating student voice and agency
- An enthusiastic, experienced leader who will set the tone for a high school environment that is focused on collaboration and communication
- Knowledge of engaging instructional and assessment practices that incorporate research-based strategies and methodologies
- Ability to build strong relationships with staff, parents, and community
- Works with administration to create a coherent Pre-K- 12 experience focused on our graduate profile
Applicants must hold, or be eligible for: New York State Certification for Secondary Principal or School Administrator and Supervisor (SAS), School Building Leader (SBL), and/or School District Leader (SDL)
