Steam
Ethan Riegel
Part of the transportational Revolution
The first steam invention was the steam boat, which encouraged travel over seas. It was developed in France in the late 1700s, but were not widely used until the early 1800s. After steam boats had started traveling sea ways, demand for sea travel greatly increased. This also increased the profit of many businesses, as they could now trade across seas. This also led to conflict over sea ways, as many people thought certain sea ways were there property, and tried to sue anyone who used a steam boat on that particular sea way.
