In their 2014 Superbowl commercial, Maserati directs the design and power of their car by depicting people who are always doubted and left in the shadows of society. By showing a fairly small child, Maserati captures the audiences attention when he speaks about hard workers who are disbelieved in due to their size. Maserati uses emotional appeal to project the potential of their car, showing its size as a positive factor of the car that causes incredible speed. Using a confident and melodramatic tone, the expected audience for the Maserati commercial is towards those who are underdogs and smaller than others in society.
