Good evening Barbieri Families,

I hope you are all enjoying the long holiday weekend! During this time we honor our Veterans and thank them for their service!

We continue to have summer weather in November, it's amazing! I hope you enjoyed time outdoors. My son, his friend and I enjoyed a nice day together! Yesterday during the rain we watched Lyle The Crocodile. It's been a good weekend so far!

We are noticing an increase in the amount of toys, cards, dolls, and other personal items coming to school. They are not allowed in school. We are not responsible for these items. It is best to keep them at home safely for all children to be able to come to them when they arrive home. We appreciate your support with this! Children at this age become very upset when these items are lost. Please keep them safely stored at home.

Barbieri School will facilitate school-wide Health Screenings in December. These screenings are hosted by the Office of Health and Wellness. Health Screenings at Barbieri will be on December 19th, 20th, and 21st from 9:00AM-3:00PM.

Screening Notification

Gratitude is the theme of the month of November. You may have noticed the giant bowls on the bulletin boards, we will be filling them with everything that we are grateful for! Students have read Thank You Omu during library this week. You can find a recording of Ms. Rubin, our SEB Coach, reading the book in Spanish here next week! As an activity, teachers will have students write what they are grateful for on a piece of paper and fill Omu’s bowl!

Please reach out to the main office staff, Joelie Rivera, Assistant Office Manager, or Diane Cartier, Office Manager, to ensure that we have the correct dismissal information for your child(ren). We dismiss students to after school explorers, buses, parent pick up and SMOC/Suburban buses daily. Staff ensure that the dismissal information you have provided us is the one we adhere to.

Lifetouch will be back on Friday, November 18 for retake day. Teachers/staff will ONLY send students who were absent on picture day or who have explicit instructions from home to have their picture retaken. There are extra order forms in the office but ordering online is the easiest option:
