Everything pumpkin is a full go. From coffee to yogurt, get your pumpkin fix! Holiday songs and lights are forthcoming. Prepare yourself. Thank you for putting together a great week for our community from Compact for Success to Dia De Los Muertos to the Fall Festival. You showed that mighty Triton Spirit. Before you know it, it will be Turkey time. In the meantime, items to consider for this week:

Veteran's Day! We will celebrate our Vets on November 14. If you have one of the special camouflage ELM shirts or just want to come out to cheer our vets, please come out to the front gate in the morning. It's not too late to order the shirt ... CLICK HERE. It is extended until Monday.

Nutrition Supervision. Friendly reminder that Team B has nutrition break supervision this week.

SLT. SLT is on November 13. Please get that sub if you are an SLT member!

8th Grade Spirit Shirts. The yearbook students have been working hard at designing this year's 8th grade spirit shirt and they look awesome! If you are interested, please use the following google form to place an order. These "Vans" inspired shirts are $10.

Playoffs! Our students rock. Here is the updated playoff schedule. Come join us...

Saturday (11/3): Baseball @ Eastlake HS (10:00 AM)

Saturday (11/3): Cross Country @ Olympian HS (9:00 AM)

Game of Throws. Check out some awesome catapults and trebuchets! The Games start at 9:00 with Jon Snow and Tyrion Lannister making a guest appearance! Just kidding... However, we do have our local heroes from the CV Fire Department dropping a 150 pound pumpkin. Gallagher would approve (let's see who gets this reference...)

Electronic Walkthrough Form. We have a new electronic walkthrough form we are eager to try out. If you see us on our phones in the back of your class, we are working on the new form. :-)

Peer Link-Up. Don't forget to sign up for Peer Link on the hyperdoc! What a great opportunity to observe and support one another.

As always, Go Tritons! If you have something that you would like me to share in the Triton Times, please let me know.

Gratitude (Triton Trait of the Month!)

For the months of November & December we will be focusing on Gratitude, or appreciating what you are given.

When you feel gratitude, you feel a sense of abundance. When you express gratitude—especially when it’s heartfelt—you strengthen your relationships with others. Grateful people are happier and more fulfilled. And gratitude leads you to be nicer to other people: more cooperative, patient, and trusting.

For the months of November & December, we encourage gratitude in others. You can model it for others by talking about the good things that happen to you and reframing difficulties by highlighting positive aspects.

"I love this absolutely stunning sunset!"

"This week has been really challenging and stressful, but I am grateful to have support coworkers."

Be sure to celebrate gratitude as well. Consider dropping quick thank you notes on desks (for both students and fellow staff members). And be sure to nominate students for Triton of the Week who exemplify the Triton Trait of the Month: Gratitude
