Obama Care also known as the Affordable Care Act (ACA). It was signed into law by healthcare industries on March 23, 2010. The goal of this program is to give more Americans the opportunity to have affordable and quality health insurance to try to reduce the growth of US health care spending. It also expands the availability of private and public health insurance through regulations, taxes, and reforms.

Medicaid is now expanding to millions of states that choose the program. This program lets young adults stay on their parents plan until they are 26. Also ensures that all plans cover minimum benefits. Prevents gender discrimination. Insurance companies can be stopped from dropping you when you are sick or if you make a mistake on your application.

~ 4.5 million renewals and auto-renewals in addition to the 2 million new enrollments
