Ownership
Who has ownership? Why does it matter?
Ownership is assigned when a student is dropped or added to a course and course sections are linked.
Scheduled Students With Ownership: These students are currently in the course
section, and the teacher is responsible for entering the grades for the students.
Dropped Students With Ownership: These students have dropped the course section,
but the teacher of the dropped class is responsible for entering and posting the grade for the current grade cycle. (This grade will appear on the added course teacher's grades for the cycle.)
Scheduled Students Without Ownership: These students are currently in the course
section, but the teacher of the dropped class is entering the grade for the current grade cycle. The teacher with students in this location will not enter grades for the student until next grading cycle. The student's grade will not appear until the teacher of the dropped class has posted grades.
Dropped Students Without Ownership: These students have dropped the course
section, and the teacher does not own the grade.
