MORNING DROP OFF PROCEDURES
- Doors open at 8:35 am. Do not arrive to the parking lot before 8:33 am.
- All students will enter the building upon arrival between 8:35 am - 8:45 am and head straight to their classrooms each day. No morning "recess" outside.
- Drive into the south parking lot making two lines and zipper merge once you reach the end of the straightaway.
- The drop off zone will be marked with cones. Please pull all the way to the unloading zone or up to the car in front of you.
- All students will exit the cars on the PASSENGER'S side of the car in the unloading zone. (Do not allow students to exit the car on the driver's side for safety reasons!)
- Staff will be ready and waiting to help all kids get into the school and to the correct classroom.
- Parents must remain in their vehicles.
- Do not pass cars in the car line. Stay in a single file line until the cars move in front of you.
Tips to Keep Our Line Moving:
Say your goodbyes and give kisses prior to dropping off in the car line.
Have backpacks/supplies ready to exit car with students.
PICKUP PROCEDURES
- Please do not arrive to the parking lot before 3:35 pm. Students will start being released around 3:40 pm.
- Place a sign on your passenger side dashboard or window with the LAST name of your student(s).
- All students will enter vehicles on the passenger's side.
Please be patient for the first few weeks of school. Last year we found that things moved really smoothly once students, staff, and families got used to the process.
Transportation Home
If your child is going to have a change in transportation home at the end of the school day, please contact the main office to let them know of the change prior to 3:00 p.m. (11:45 a.m. on early release days). We want to ensure that the classroom teachers are notified in a timely fashion prior to end of day dismissal procedures.
Attendance
If your student will not be attending school due to illness or other reasons, please call the office before 9:00 am. Students who are not called in by a parent/guardian will be marked with an unexcused absence.
If your student will be late, arriving after 8:45 am, please call the office in the morning.
If your student will be late and needs a hot lunch, please let us know when you call. Hot lunch needs to be ordered by 10 am.
Planned absences of more than 3 days require a vacation request form to be filled out. Forms can be picked up in the office or emailed to you. Please turn in vacation request forms at least 5 days prior to the planned absence.
Breakfast
Breakfast will be served starting at 8:35.
Breakfast consists of cereal, milk, juice, fresh fruit, and a cookie/cracker bar.
Breakfast is FREE this year.
Students that eat breakfast at school will eat it in their classroom.
If your child will be eating breakfast at school, please contact your classroom teacher so that we know to send them down to the cafeteria the first week of school.

Walk-a-thon is Bauer’s largest school-wide fundraiser, providing students with an opportunity to collect donations that directly support programming and events like: Secret Santa Shop, Boys’ Night Out, Girls’ Night Out, 4th Grade Celebration, class field trips, Popcorn Days, and more! Student donations are easily managed through an online platform and students receive incentives as they meet fundraising benchmarks. Students will enjoy a day full of school spirit on Friday, September 22, as they walk/run laps on the outdoor track with their classes. Prizes from local businesses are also raffled off after the event to celebrate funds raised. Walk-a-thon has historically been a very successful fundraiser for Bauer, but we need YOU to help make Walk-a-thon 2023 our best yet! Connecting your student(s) with family and friends for donations and volunteering on Walk-a-thon day are the most impactful ways parents can help!
