Message from the Principal, Mr. Brown

Hello Quincy Trojan students and families:

Crazy to think we just finished out the 3rd week of school. With all that is going on from power outages to fires and evacuations, it is certainly understandable that school work sometimes takes a back seat to safety and well being. Our staff at QJSHS certainly understands this. As you continue to work on your courses (and support your kids efforts in their work) please stay in close contact with our teachers and staff and let us know how we can best support you.

We have HUBs up and running for all grade levels. If you have not been contacted about participating please let us know and we can get you involved in coming on campus to complete your work in the company of other students. Our HUBs are a work in progress so please look for more information to come out in the coming weeks about other HUB opportunities.

Sport conditioning has also begun for football, girls basketball, and softball. We are looking for other sports conditioning to begin soon. While we don't know what competitive sports will look like this year or when they will begin, we would encourage all student-athletes to get involved in these activities to stay healthy and in shape.

Finally, as unbelievable as it may seem, progress reports are coming out soon with the end of the progress reporting period next Friday, 9/25, and progress reports available to students/parents the following Friday. With this, make sure you are working hard, attending your zoom classes, completing all your asynchronous work, and preparing for any tests and projects your teachers are assigning you. And contact your teachers if you need any support. While the 1st progress report is a ways from the end of the semester, you don't want to dig a hole that is too hard to get out of!

I hope everyone is staying safe out there.

Have a great weekend.

All the best,

Mr. Brown
