How can I stay connected with the teacher?
Our Little Caesar Pizza Kit Fundraiser is underway!
Due Monday October 1, 2018
Reading
- This week we have continued our study of Hatchet by Gary Paulsen.
- We have identified words, thoughts, and actions that help with Brian's survival and those that have hindered his ability to survive.
- We are now tracking his challenges and studying the way Brian responds to the challenge. To understand survival in the wild, we've read two articles that have given us tips on how to plan for a something as simple as a hike, fishing trip, or camping. We will use that knowledge to decide whether Brian is making good decisions or if there are things he should do differently.
Math
- We are continuing our study of x,y coordinates, how they relate to each other, and how they can be mapped on a coordinate plane.
Science
We are finishing up with the skeletal system and will be moving to the muscular system.
Students have learned three important facts about the skeletal system:
- It provides protection
- It provides structure
- It produces red blood cells
