Curtis Chronicles

September 27, 2021

Hello from Curtis Principal, Sonya Pitcock

Cougar families,

Thank you all for the treats for our staff meetings after school. The pick me up at the end of the day helps our teachers be able to spend after school time continuing to grow for your children.

We are still looking for some staff to help in our cafeteria in the kitchens and monitoring students. If you are interested in working for AISD, we are holding a job fair this Thursday, September 30 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at 610 E. Bethany.

Our 1:1 devices will arrive on October 4 and we will be distributing that week. The annual device insurance and maintenance fee is $30 and will cover any kind of device malfunction, repairs and replacement parts if needed. Parents will receive a letter with more details soon along with the link to pay the $30. We look forward to getting devices in students’ hands.

Please review the student code of conduct with your students, especially things that can cause them to be placed at our alternative campus. We will be going into Tracks classes to help educate our students on the mandatory causes of placements to help them be educated to make good choices.

As we get closer to the end of the first quarter, please make sure students know we have tutoring in all subjects if students need help and our Tracks classes are open after school for students to get work completed too.

Have a wonderful week,

Sonya Pitcock

Principal, Curtis Middle School
