Important Reminders for Seniors!
National Confirmation Deadline- May 1st, 2022
Historically, May 1st has been the National College Confirmation Deadline, the day most colleges and universities expect students to accept an offer of admission and hold their spot in the freshman class.
Required Future Plans Survey in NAVIANCE
Complete the ‘EVHS Class of 2022 Future Plans Survey’ by 3:00 PM on Wednesday, May 4th in your NAVIANCE account. The survey is important as it will be used for awards/graduation recognition and reporting your plans for next year. Your completed survey is part of earning your senior opportunities.

Final High School Transcript
All colleges require that you send a final transcript with your graduation date before enrolling. You must request to send your final transcript by noon on June 7th to the college, university, or program you will attend in the fall.

Youth Leadership Academy
Youth Leadership Academy is a joint effort between the Eagan Police Department, The FBI, and the MN Vikings to help develop strong youth into future leaders.

Learning Differences Virtual College Fair
Wednesday, May 4, 2022
This fair’s program focuses on opportunities for students with a history of IEPs, 504 plans, or therapeutic supports and accommodations. Each year, about 20 percent of graduating high school students fall into this category. It will also aid students who do not have formal accommodations because learning differences can come in many forms

NAMI Super Saturday Virtual Education Conference
This online event is designed to meet the needs of biological, foster & adoptive parents, family members, paraprofessionals, and others who care for children & youth with behavioral and mental health concerns.

MACAC's Camp College: July 18-22, 2022
University of Minnesota Crookston
July 18 — 20, 2022
Camp College is a FREE program designed for current high school juniors (graduating class of 2023) who would benefit from a college readiness program. Students from rural areas, first-generation college students and students from low-income households are encouraged to apply! Sessions focusing on financial aid, college resources, and the application process (among others) will be offered. Attendees will be entered into a drawing to win multiple prizes!
Housing and meals for Camp College are provided for all attendees at no cost. Campers are responsible for their own transportation to the University of Minnesota Crookston.
Deadline to apply is May 1st, 2022

Come on your own or with your parents. These introductory campus tours and informational meetings can serve as a first step to help you discover just what you’re looking for in a college — especially if you are early in your search. Sessions are held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30, noon to 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. EXCEPT for the joint sessions held by the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University, which run from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
STEP 1: Check out each college’s profile or use our online search tool to find colleges that matches your interests by majors, sports and the arts.
STEP 2: Decide where you want to visit. View a map to see where our 17 campuses are located around the state. If you're thinking about visiting more than one in the same day, our mileage chart may also be helpful.
STEP 3: Register for free online beginning on May 1 — and mark your calendars!

Fashion Summer Workshop- St. Catherine University
This summer, St. Catherine University invites high school students to explore the world of fashion from design principles to merchandising techniques at its St. Paul campus. Participants will discover career tracks in the fashion industry and leave with portfolio essentials. The five-day Summer Fashion Workshop is open to students in grades 10-12 who identify as women, nonbinary, or genderqueer.
Dates: July 11-15, 2022, 1-5 p.m.
Each afternoon has two 90-minute instruction and activity sessions that will take place on campus grounds, in our fashion labs, or at exhibit spaces.
Cost: $300 (A reduced cost of $50 is available for families who qualify for free/reduced price lunch).

Eastview Community Foundation Scholarships Recipients Announced!
Seniors who applied for an Eastview Community Scholarship have been notified this week of their application status via the email they used on their application.
All scholarship recipients should complete the Google Form included in the email. This information is needed to put the award ceremony program together.
The Eastview Community Foundation Scholarship Award Ceremony will be held on Monday, April 25th in the Performing Arts Center. Program will begin at 7 PM. Please arrive by 6:30 PM.

Thank you to all that were able to make it to our Spring College Planning Night! If you were unable to attend, you can view the presentation HERE.

Park Nicollet's Growing Through Grief Support Group
Park Nicollet’s Growing Through Grief counselor, Jenny Simmonds, will be offering a weekly grief group for Eastview students who have experienced the death of a significant family member (parent, sibling, caregiver, etc.). If your teen is living with loss and you think they could benefit from participating in a grief group, please contact Molly Wellik at molly.wellik@district196.org and we will connect with your student regarding their interest.

Visit link below to register. ALL Eastview Juniors are scheduled to take the ACT during the school day on April 5th (no registration required).
