Share Your Expertise! Submit a Proposal to Present at the 2019 IMLEA Conference, Leading from the Middle!

Big picture
By popular demand, our conference is returning to the Indianapolis Marriott North Hotel (Keystone at the Crossing). It is two weeks later, September 29-30, to avoid conflicts with some other conferences. For the most part, breakout sessions will be 45-50 minutes; we did have presenters do two sessions last year. Please submit your proposal using this form by Friday, March 8. If you have any questions, contact Susie Highley.

We are also accepting articles for the spring IMLEA newsletter. Feel free to submit an article, a proposal, or both!

Time to Nominate Exemplary School Counselors!

From ISCA:

Now is the time to recognize an amazing school counselor in your life! Your Indiana School Counselor Association hopes that National School Counselor Week 2019 increased your awareness of all the lesson for life your school counselor provides. We couldn’t do it without the support of our administrators and staff. So whether you are an administrator who works with a great counselor or a counselor with great support, you can let everyone know by nominating them for an award! Our annual conference is November 14 and 15 this year. We are making some adjustments to the nomination timeline this year to streamline the process. Nominations for all awards will be accepted from now until May 10. Nominees for Exemplary School Counselor will then have until June 8th to complete their applications. This will allow your ISCA board to make final selections during our summer LDI meeting. Please visit http://indiana.schoolcounselorawards.org to nominate someone today!
