Maintain High Expectations, What we Permit we Promote
As we approach the end of the academic year, I want to emphasize the importance of maintaining high expectations for our middle school students. It's natural for some students to feel the temptation to slack off as the school year comes to a close, but it's crucial that we uphold our standards of behavior and learning until the very end.
Middle School is a pivotal time in our students' academic journey, and it's essential that we continue to challenge them and push them to excel. By setting and maintaining high expectations, we not only foster a culture of excellence but also prepare our students for the challenges they will face in high school and beyond.
Please remember that what we permit, we promote. By consistently reinforcing our expectations for behavior and learning, we send a clear message to our students that their effort and dedication matter. Let's work together to ensure that all of our students finish the year strong and ready for the next chapter in their academic journey.
Thank you for your dedication to our students' success.

Homebound Teacher Needed - 6th Grader @ MTA
Message from Amber Sherman, Assistant Principal at MTA
Hello Teachers,
We currently have a 6th grade student requiring homebound instruction through the end of this school year. We did not have a teacher at our school take the position, so the next step in the process is to offer this to other teachers around the district. This is a great way to make some additional income in a virtual setting. Here are the details:
- The teacher would provide 4 hours a week of instruction virtually in ELA, Math and Social Studies
- The four hours are outside of the contract day
- The pay is $40 per hour. The teacher would also be paid 1.5 hours per week for prep, which is a total of 5.5 hours per week at $40 per hour.
- The homebound teacher would meet with the teachers of record to coordinate instruction and grades.
- The teacher of record at MTA will enter grades in PS
- This would start asap.
Please reach out to asherman@madisoned.org if you are interested. Thanks for considering!
