Pineapple PD at CCHS
Vol 1. Edition 2
Professional Development During the 2020 School Year
The pineapple has long been a symbol of hospitality; it's used at CCHS in the spirit of welcoming one another into our school "homes." More often than not, our best resource is the teacher next door.
Throughout the 2020 school year, teachers will invite each other into their rooms to learn effective teaching strategies. Pineapple teach weeks will be offered on the following dates:
- 10/19/20 - 10/24/20
- 1/19/21 - 1/22/21
- 3/29/21 - 4/1/21
Snack and Shares will be offered throughout the year and led by CCHS teachers. Please mark your calendars for the following dates:
- 9/16/20
- 11/18/20
- 2/10/21
- 3/24/21

MySchool Online & Hybrid Expectations for Students
We wanted to send out some information to assist you with a couple of things that have come up with MSO and hybrid students:
- If you are using Zoom students MUST show their face to be counted as present. They are not permitted to log on with just their name or a background that shows their picture, etc…Their live face should be showing, always. There are no exceptions to this rule if they have a camera. If they are using a desktop that does not have a camera, then you must do repeated verbal check-in's throughout the period. You also must communicate with their parents to make sure they don't have a way to connect visually. *A suggestion would be to have them log onto the Zoom via their phone - their phone has a camera that they could be viewed.
- Always, as teachers, use the waiting room. You must make sure that the students in the waiting room are your students, and your students only for that period.
- Please make sure you are following your 3 step discipline plan to address any behavioral issues with online students. If you need assistance, reach out to your supervising administrator.

Hybrid Course Teachers- Zooming back and forth from ipad to computer
If you switch back and forth from presenting on your computer to using your ipad and you need both the MSOL kids and traditional kids to view, I have found a solution.
You can connect to the projectors via the EPSON Software with your Computer. Below is how you do that and how to use zoom to toggle back and forth.
