You "Otter" Know: January Wrap-Up
Parent Newsletter Vol. 7
From the Principal
February 13th, 2020 all of NExA will participate in a day of giving instead of celebrating Valentine's Day. Instead of receiving love through Valentine's Day cards, our students will give love and build empathy by giving back to our community.
We as a school feel so lucky to be supported and embraced by the city of Hayden these past three years. So, instead of having Valentine's Day parties, each grade level will participate in a grade-level service activity. These activities will make our community a better place by celebrating the great people of Hayden and help our students give love to the people who share their love with us daily.

PTA UPDATE
- Triple Play: April 24th. The price increased from $16/person to $18/person - however with the increase comes access to everything, whereas before you had to pay an extra $5 for the ropes course. We are a little worried about the increase for NExA families, however, those who attend will get more value for their money.
-Boundary Rezoning Committee is in full swing. Last spring when the Board determined NExA would move to the new school site, they promised grandfathering and transportation for current students living in the current NExA zone.
Standing Rules Update:
A motion was made and approved to change our Standing Rules to hold General PTA Meetings every other month - which means the last two meetings of the year will be in March and May. Meetings will remain the 2nd Tuesday of the designated month at 3:45.
Spirit wear:
Winter spirit wear order form is open January 29th-February 12th. You can order online too!
