Here in the Southern Colonies, farming and fishing are the primary jobs. Because of our warm climate and longer growing seasons, you can profit much more from your crops. Rice, indigo, and tobacco are the most popular, along with some others. We grant land to new settlers that bring over women, children, or servants, so you can start your very own plantation or family farm as soon as you arrive.

We typically practice the Protestant religion, but we welcome Catholics too. We grant religious freedom to almost all Christians, and if you are Catholic and would like a colony solely practicing your religion, Sir George Calvert is planning to build a colony just for Catholics so that you may practice your religion in any way you wish.

In the Southern Colonies you will find that we have young and healthy slaves ready to be purchased and work on your plantation. We find that slavery is a big part of our success as farmers so buy them by the lot!
