Challenge for the Week...

The theme of this week is reflection. Reflect on the professional goals you want to accomplish this year, and the ways you want to impact the lives of the students in front of you. Below is one of my favorite teaching videos. It reminds me that our kiddos need a champion. Who's champion will you be?

LEARN

ESOL Walks...

Just a heads up, Leah Panthier (District K-5 ESOL coordinator) will be conducting ESOL walks on the 9th, 10th, and 11th at various times throughout the day. There is nothing you need to prepare or do differently, we just wanted to make you aware.

School Data Sheet

Here is the link for the school data sheet. Please start entering your kiddos information for this year. Be careful to not adjust or change the formulas (easiest to avoid the copy/paste).

Also, if you haven't done so already, please update your students' information with F&P levels and iReady Reading and Math scores. I will be using them in a presentation on Friday morning, so if you are able to update it by Thursday, I would greatly appreciate it.

GROW

PLCs

This will be our last PLC for the month of September due to conference week and fall break. We will have about 45 minutes for PLCs after the Pin Ceremony from Grant.

Team Spotlight

This week we would like to spotlight 5th grade.

5th grade has been working hard following the pacing for Writing Units of Study, planning together, creating differentiated activities, and developing common assessments. Great job 5th grade team!
