2020-21 Transportation Request
For the 20-21 SY, a web registration form has been created for parents on the transportation website. Please submit your selected stop from the list of available stops for each campus. The stop selection will apply to all new/existing students requesting transportation services for the first time or those that need to make a change in stop location from the 19-20 SY.
Dear HSMA Community,
We have been assessing our students It is important that we gather academic information for our children at the beginning of the school year. This information will assist the Montessori guides and IB instructors as they prepare plans of lessons and unit plans to instruct our students.
This week we will conclude our Beginning of the Year (BOY) MAP Assessment for our students. for them. Students will be able to take the assessment on campus and online (remotely). If your child is making up a missed assessment or taking it for the first time, please read the updates carefully.
We will continue to welcome all of our students to campus to take the MAP Assessment. Safety is our first priority. Please partner with us and ensure our environment remains safe. Continue to assess yourself and/or your child(ren) before reporting to campus.

Beginning of the YEAR (BOY) MAP Assessment UPDATES
*All students' temperatures will be taken outside of the front doors. Please do not drive off until your child has been cleared to enter the building.
Thank you, as always for partnering with us as we continue to collaborate for the
MAP make-up and remote testing dates by grade levels:
Sept. 21st ~ Grades 1 & 2
Sept. 22nd ~ Grades 3 & 4
Sept. 23rd ~ Grades 5 & 6
Sept. 24th ~ Grades 7 & 8
In-person make-up testing and remote testing will follow the same testing day schedule.
7:45 a.m. ~ Breakfast
8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. ~ Math
11:30 a.m. -12:00 p.m. ~ Lunch
12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m. ~ Break
12:30p.m. - 3:30 p.m. ~ Reading
Testing On Campus
Students testing on campus will need to bring the following:
- A mask
- Charged DISD issued technology
- Bottled water
Students will take the Math assessment, followed by Reading. Some students will finish early, and others will take longer. When students have completed both assessments, parents will be called to pick up their child(ren).
Testing At Home
Parents with students testing at home will need to review the 3 attached documents to prepare for their testing day. Remember that your child can only test on the day his/her grade level is scheduled to test. There are NO make-ups at this point. So, it is imperative that the schedule is adhered to and the attachments are reviewed prior to testing day.
Session Names and Passcodes will be sent every morning and afternoon our children are scheduled to test.
- The session names and passcodes will be sent to your child's teacher. They will forward the information to you.
- We will send the sessions' names and passcodes on Remind every morning and afternoon this week.
- Our Counselors will also monitor their emails and will assist you as needed.

Technology Updates
The District's IT Department is now providing iPads for students in prekindergarten through third grades. Students in fourth through twelfth grades will receive a Chromebook.
We will continue the technology deployment for our students this week. Mrs. Roberts, our Media Specialist, and her team will be available to assist you daily from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
