Yearbook Orders

Yearbook order forms are due by March 16th. Order forms are available in the school office or you can order online at The yearbook ID code is 2041220.

Volunteering for Field Trips

Anyone who chaperones a field trip must have a background cleared. These usually take about a week or more to process. If you haven't already completed one and think you might be chaperoning a field trip, please complete one in the office or online on the NSSD website. They have to be done every school year and are good for all of the schools in the district. Thank you for getting them turned in sooner than later.

School Sickness Policy

Please keep your child home if they have had a fever of 100.5 or higher, vomiting, or diarrhea in the last 24 hours. If your child needs to take medication during school hours, you will need to sign an authorization form. The medication must be in its original package (no baggies) and kept in the office to be dispensed by school staff. Medications need to be brought in by and adult, not the student. Students are not allowed to carry things like cough drops, Tylenol, ibuprofen, Tums or Neosporin with them. The medication must also be indicated for children 12 and under on the label.

Planned Absences

If your student will be gone from class, please call, email or send a note (a day or two prior please) so the teacher can be prepared for their absence. It can also help us plan ahead if they need to be picked up when they are out of the intermediate building for PE or music. If they will be gone for more than 3 days, there is a Planned Absence Form that needs to be completed at least 48 hours in advance so the teacher can have time to prepare homework. Thank you for your help with this.

Student Birthdays

Just a reminder that latex balloons are not allowed on our campus due to allergies. If you bring in mylar balloons for a student's birthday, they will not be taken into the classroom until the end of the day. Also, be aware that balloons and flowers are not allowed on the buses due to safety issues. If you want to bring in a treat for your student's class, please check with his/her teacher first due to food allergies. The treats must be store bought. Thank you for your help and understanding with this.
