Little Lancer News!
As we depart for winter break, I wanted to thank all of our Little Lancer families for a wonderful first half of our school year! We are so thankful for our youngest learners and cannot wait to see them back in the new year! For our current half day families, a notice went out at the end of last week regarding your interest for the next school year. Enrollment begins for new families in mid January, so be sure to get your interest form back as soon as possible!
As a reminder, cars need to wait until a teacher or staff member waves you down to move forward for drop off. The drop off lane is a fire lane, so please do not pull all the way forward until you see a staff member wave you down. Thank you for your understanding.
We wish all of our Little Lancer families a wonderful, safe and healthy holiday break! See you in 2024!

Miss Lauren's Classroom Spotlight
- This month in Miss Lauren's class we learned about so many winter and holiday related things!
- Gingerbread: This month, we had a delightful time learning about gingerbread and reading different stories about the Gingerbread man. The children had the opportunity to decorate their own gingerbread cookies and learn about the different spices used in gingerbread. We also made gingerbread cloud dough which we played with during choice time.
- The 5 Senses: We explored the fascinating world of the 5 senses. The students engaged in various activities to understand how our senses help us perceive the world around us. The most popular lesson was the taste test. We tasted sweet, sour, bitter and salty foods! (chocolate, lemon, dark chocolate and pretzels)
- Holidays Around the World: We took a virtual journey around the world to learn about different holiday traditions. We focused on Kwanzaa and Hanukkah, exploring their histories, customs, and celebrations. We created Kinaras and even made and ate Latkes!
- The Polar Express: To embrace the holiday spirit, we watched the classic movie, "The Polar Express." The children enjoyed the enchanting story and its heartwarming message of the magic of belief. We set the classroom up like a train, complete with lights and served hot chocolate, popcorn, and ginger snap cookies during the movie!
