Hello Mulberry Families! Monday is a required workday and there is no school for students.

Please join us Tuesday night for PTO, Terrific Kids and an Emergency Preparedness Presentation and Discussion: What parents/guardians need to know in the event of an emergency on a school campus.

The Emergency Preparedenss Presentation will begin at 5:30 in the gym. Local law enforcement will lead our discussion of need-to-know information and what parents need to do in the event of a school emergency.

Terrific Kids will be at 6:00 in the Cafeteria and PTO will be at 6:30 in the gym. Parents can also pick up report cards from the hallway near each grade level from 5:30-6:15.

Wednesday teachers will be sending home report cards not picked up with students. Please contact us with any questions concerning your child's progress.

We will kick off our Kids Heart Challenge on January 24th and 25th in PE classes. Be on the lookout for your child's envelope to come home next week. We will be working to raise money for the American Heart Association to be used in their fight against heart disease. Money can be collected using the envelope, online. or by using the Kids Heart Challenge app. Our event will run until February 16th and this will be the last day to turn in money. We will be offering some fundraising incentives to go along with the prizes offered by the American Heart Association.

Our goal is to have 100% of our students register online and complete Finn’s Mission. The classroom with the highest percentage of students registered online will win the classroom challenge, so sign up today!

Here’s how you can help:

  • Complete Finn’s Mission: Watch a 2-minute video to know Hands-Only CPR, spot the signs of a stroke and more!
  • Share with friends and family through social media, text and/or email.
  • Students raising $150 or more before kick-off will receive the extra large, limited edition Frankie keychain.

We need your help to accomplish our goal of having 100% of our families to know Hands-Only CPR, and you can help us by registering your child and spreading the word.

The top fundraiser in each grade level will be invited to attend lunch with the PE coaches at the Smokehouse and any student raising $50 or more will be invited to attend a fun campout at The Mulberry. We are looking forward to learning all about heart health and we appreciate your support of this event.

This week we will continue The READBowl 2023: The World Championship of Reading Competition schoolwide! Please see the link below for the video that helps explain the requirement and prize for this challenge. We hope you continue to enjoy this time of reading with your mustang.
