March 2014
Garden Club
We are hoping that the frozen winter weather is behind us. We are ready to get our hands dirty in the garden! Ask your child about how the garden bed covers help our garden. Mrs. Nutt taught them that the covers work like a coat, to keep the ground and plants warm during the freezing temperatures.
March is an exciting month for Garden Club members! We are working to get our garden ready for Spring and look forward to celebrating the first day of Spring on Thursday, March 20th.

January 2014
Garden Club members worked inside due to the cold weather. Students searched for unique plants in the seed catalogs then presented why they thought these plants would be for our garden. We took a quick peek at our Garden as we walked to the front of the building.

Garden Club members worked together to clean up our garden. It took lots of teamwork! Students tasted lettuce fresh from our garden. Each member had an opportunity to water the soil.
