Thanks for choosing CAST Tech! The information in this newsletter is a resource as we all prepare for the first day of school on Tuesday, August 15.


I hope you will join us Friday, August 11 for our "Meet the CAST" event. Review below for additional details and times for this event.

23-24 School Supply List

The basics that students will need daily are a backpack to host the Chromebook, earbuds, notebook paper and pens/pencils.

23-24 CAST Tech Uniform Policy

Please review the uniform expectations. To summarize, we expect student attire to be modest and not a distraction.

Meet the CAST!

Join us Friday, August 11 to review your schedule, walk your classes, and meet your teachers.


This event is for all CAST Tech students and their parents.


The schedule is as follows:

3:00pm - Class of 2027 (freshmen)

4:15pm - 6:00pm Class of 2023 - 2026 (sophomores, juniors, seniors)


The times are spread out to assist families with parking and space on our campus.

* Student parking passes will be sold at this event.

Virtual Parent Meeting w/ Principal

Join Principal Alcala on Wednesday, August 9 at noon for a virtual parent meeting. The zoom link will be sent to all families via email. No need to register.


This check-in time is an opportunity to hear some updates. Parents will be provided time to ask questions in order to promote clarity for all as we prepare for a new school year.

Freshmen Student Orientation - Friday, August 11, 2023

Student Council is hosting a freshmen student orientation on Friday, August 11.


The purpose of this day camp is to assist freshmen with making peer connections and getting acclimated to the campus, as well as the downtown area.


There will be various team-building activities for students.

The goal is for students to leave excited and feeling more comfortable with their new school.


The camp runs from 9am - 3:00pm


Freshmen parents are asked to drop-off their child and return at 3pm to join their student at the Learning Staircase. We will have some brief announcements for freshmen parents and you will then be able to "Meet the CAST!"

Carpooling

Our students are coming from San Antonio and the surrounding area. Thus, carpool connections is provided as an option to connect families as they plan the transport of their child to/from campus. Click the box link above to be added to the roster and possible connections!

SAISD Bus Routes

SAISD runs bus routes within their school district boundaries. For in-district families, enter your address for pick-up details. Out of district families may drop-off their child at a district site to catch a bus to/from the Fox Tech campus.

Registration

Haven't completed the registration process? Our main office is ready to assist you in-person on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am - 4pm, no appointment is necessary just walk-in.

Student Parking Pass

Parking on campus is a privilege. Adhering to safety guidlines is key. Bring these completed forms to Meet the CAST or the main office to purchase a student parking pass.

CAST Tech High School

Located downtown in two freshly-renovated buildings on the former campus of Fox Tech High School, CAST Tech works hand-in-hand with industry partners to prepare students for careers in technology and business, fields where the demand is high for talented workers. Some features of the unique program include flexible schedules, hands-on projects and real-world problems to solve, as well as job shadowing, mentorships, internships, and job opportunities upon graduation.
