This Is How We Lakeview
July 2021 Edition: Volume 2
2021-22 School Year Updates
I have had several emails asking about student schedules. These will be available during our Welcome Days, August 4th and 5th. See the information below. Also, you can attend any and all sessions of Welcome Days. This is helpful for students who want to drop off items, walk their schedules, and practice opening their locker.
If you have a student who is interested in Athletics at Lakeview, please go to the athletic website, https://pickeringtonpanthers.org/ and sign up to receive notifications from the coaches. Most sports have already started open gyms/conditioning, seasons officially start August 2nd!
Reminder, we are here all summer! Starting the week of July 26th, we will be back to our normal office hours 6:45 am - 3:15 pm. You can also email myself, email@example.com, Ben Baptist (Lead Assistant Principal) firstname.lastname@example.org, Susan Raber (Building Secretary) email@example.com or Kathy Palmer (Attendance Secretary) firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.

IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS FOR 7TH GRADE/NEW STUDENTS
Remember that there is an immunization requirement for 7th graders. Tdap and Meningococcal are required before a student enters the junior high. The Ohio Department of Health provides the attached immunization summary for school attendance in Ohio. Please discuss this with your medical provider.
According to Board Policy 5320 and 5320 AG, immunizations in compliance with state law and the Ohio Department of Health are required for each student unless the parent(s) file an objection. The Board of Education also requires tuberculosis examinations in compliance with law.
Students new to Pickerington Schools must present written evidence of similar immunizations, or written evidence to indicate that they are in the process of receiving immunizations, to be completed no later than the day of entrance. Students failing to complete immunizations within 14 days after entering are not permitted to return to school.
The Franklin County Health Department offers immunization clinics throughout the school year. An up-to-date schedule is always available on the Franklin County Public Health website.
Immunization records can be dropped off at the school all summer. You do not have to wait until August to drop these off. Our office hours are 8:00 am - 2:00 pm.

We know that some of you like to take advantage of the early Back to School Sales and have been waiting for supply lists. We are recommending that students carry a minimal amount of supplies.
