The Falcon Report

Welcome!
From the District Administrator's Office
Our school family was saddened by the tragic loss of one of our law enforcement officers last weekend. We are very thankful for the service and support the police provide for us and our community. I have been very touched by the outpouring of support our students and staff have shown. It is very evident by their words and actions they truly appreciate our police officers and how they help and protect us. As a token of our appreciation for all of our area law enforcement officers, our school family worn blue this past Wednesday to honor Officer Glaze. Teachers and students are also composing letters, cards and signs to share with our police to let them know we support them and appreciate what they do.
From the Elementary Principal's Office
Looking ahead to Veteran's Day, I have heard the students singing patriotic songs as I walk past the music room. Other classrooms have been working on bulletin boards to thank the Veterans. I hope that you are able to make it to our program on Friday the 11th at 10 a.m. to either support our Veterans or be recognized for your service to our great Nation.
I just want to take time to thank all the people that serve us and keep us safe.
From the Middle/High School Principal's Office
This week has brought out many emotions for our community. The loss of Deputy Glaze is devastating but the community support and rally that has come behind the Rusk County Sheriff’s Department and the Glaze family has been awe-inspiring. I am so proud to be part of a community that has such a powerful ability to come together to support a group that does so much for us. The Rusk County Sheriff’s Department does so much for our school, and we can never thank them enough for what they do for us.
Our Flambeau Family has really come together to recognize the sacrifice made by this group. Students and staff wore blue this week, to honor our law enforcement agencies and Deputy Glaze. Many students and staff took part in creating cards, posters, and other items to share with the Rusk County Sheriff’s Department. Also, our choir and band shared an emotional performance at last night’s candlelight vigil. This has been a great opportunity for us to show our youth the importance of community, empathy, and appreciation for what others do for us. Thank you to all of you who have supported our efforts and willingness to let our students to be a part of it.
From the Athletic Director's Office
Last night I attended the candle light ceremony in Memorial Park. Absolutely Awesome! It certainly puts things into perspective. I want to put a big THANK YOU out to our Band and Choir for changing their schedule to support the Glaze family and our community. Seemingly, without missing a beat, Mrs. Leonhard and Mr. Slembarski put together a well done and heartfelt performance that was much appreciated by all.........Thank You!!!!
In the sports world we have volleyball and football banquet scheduled for next Tuesday @ 6:00 in the small gym. Middle school volleyball will have theirs on Friday, the 11th at 7:00. Our swim team just wrapped up conference and will swim in sectionals this weekend, and hopefully some state swimming next weekend.
Winter sports are right around the corner. Middle school boys has already began and wow, what a start! 27 boys came out and are working very hard. By the time our next report comes out Wrestling as well as boys and girls basketball at the high school level will have begun.
