Toys for Tots Drive

Each year MISD schools participate in the US Marine Corps Reserves Toys for Tots Program. Last year, MISD and the community collected over 29,000 toys for needy children in the DFW area! Every MISD school is designated as a donation drop off site. WBE will have donation boxes in the front office for students, staff, and community to drop off donations. WBE STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE 5 HOUSE POINTS FOR EACH NEW TOY DONATED! The toy drive (collections at schools) runs Thursday, Nov. 1st through Monday, December 3rd. The annual Toys for Tots culminating event will be held on Wednesday, December 5th at the MISD Center for Performing Arts. More information will follow soon about that event.

Kinder Zoo Field Trip

Kindergarten is going to the ZOO! On Friday, 11/9, they will load the big yellow school bus and travel to the Fort Worth Zoo. In Science, they have been studying living things and their basic needs to survive, as well as their physical characteristics. It's so cool that they can observe this at the zoo!

4th grade Egg Drop!

On Friday, 11/9, WBE 4th graders will be participating in one of most anticipated activities of the year...EGG DROP! Students are designing an experiment to test force on an object. Can they create a contraption that will protect a raw egg when dropped from the roof? Students have the best time watching their contraptions dropping down and discovering the fate of their egg! The fun gets started around 8:15am.

BrightBytes Survey

Mansfield ISD is partnering with BrightBytes, to conduct the Technology & Learning Survey in order to learn more about our schools’ technology use for student learning. We are asking parents/guardians to participate in the project and to provide input so we can better understand the connection between technology use and student achievement. Your participation is important to us and will make the difference between having a complete versus a limited understanding of our district's technology use.
