This Week's Focus
"Telegraph is Awesome!"
Go Beyond "Excellence"
To be an excellent educator is a gift-a gift to our to our students, our families, and our communities. Being an excellent educator is, in fact, a gift to our humanity.
Items to keep in mind during the weeks of 8/20-8/31:
- I hope everyone had a great weekend, re energized and ready for our first FULL week ahead. I was asleep by 7:30 Friday night, I think I might have been a little bit tired....
- This week I will be popping into the classrooms as you continue your team building activities. Please invite me down if you have a fun activity planned.
- AM DROP OFF, if you'd like to help open doors and welcome students each morning, it would be appreciated as we have many parent drop offs. On rain days, I'd ask you share your umbrella with our friends so they are not wet when coming into school.
- Ala Carte items are available this week, please remind students they must have a signed slip and a positive balance in their account.
- As you make your positive calls home please log them in the contact log in Infinite Campus. Under your Grade book, click on student name, click on "student information", under counseling click "general", then click on "new" and add information. Special Teachers and SPED come see me about your Positive Phone Calls please.
- Sub Folders need to be turned into the office for a quick review--once approved they will be placed back in your mailbox. (attendance sheets, nurse passes, transportation, extra work options, class procedures, schedules, and emergency papers/maps, need to be included)
- The Shout Out Board in the lounge is available to brighten someones day, please add some words of positivity,
- Will Sub-remove your preferred list, this causes a problem when we are looking to fill positions. When you have a preferred list it will only begin calling other subs 24 hours prior to the job date. If you have a list of preferred subs please contact them directly and then place it into willsub under prearranged.
- Sub Days-when you know you will be out please email me ASAP. If you wake up sick or a child is sick, send me a text it can be anytime of day or night. I will begin working on a sub as quickly as I get the information.
- Don't forget to complete your MUSIC videos, due September 14. BOE Policy needs to be turned into Holly too, policies are in the lounge if you need a copy.
- Leadership Committee (Phelicity, Baileigh, Rebecca, Kelly F, and Helen) Please see me by the end of the week.
- Practice Drills- I would like to hold a practice drill for Tornado and Earthquake this week. (Tuesday PM for Tornado, and AM for Earthquake on Thursday)

- I need to know grade level meeting days for 3rd grade and 5th grade.
- This Friday will be our first AM assembly at 7:40, we will start with pledges and birthdays. I will send an agenda out for the morning. We will be in class by 8:00. Lunch counts and attendance will be due by 8:10.
