a little bit about me
Hi!
Hello everyone! I am a junior and I am currently attending Walton High School. I like all of my classes, but I love learning about our world in general and I think science is the perfect way to do that. I have looked forward to this course all summer, and I really hope to learn a lot about the countless environmental issues that affect us everyday. Second semester of APES is going to be really fun!
The Future
I am not really sure, but in the future, I would love to become a physicist and find out more about the laws that govern the universe. I'm really interested in string theory and how the postulates about "big" and "small" are related. The reason I say I'm unsure is because I've recently become open to the idea of becoming a doctor. Helping people and curing diseases is an appealing thought.
College
I'm not really sure where to go for college, but I would definitely like to go to a school that is strong in the math and sciences.
Math
Math is awesome. I really love math because it only has one precise answer: either it is wrong or right, either it can be proven or not proven. Above, you will see Fermat's Last Theorem, the 358 year old riddle in mathematics that was solved by Andrew Wiles in 1995. Wiles inspired me that no matter how hard something may be, nothing is impossible.
Parrots!
I have a 3 year old parrot (about to turn 4, yay)! He can talk and he screams his head off in the morning and evenings. He can say "Hello" and his name too, which is "Mithu."
Sport
I like playing soccer in my free time, and it is a great way to stay fit and have a lot of fun.
Books
I love the Harry Potter series and I finished the last book in fifth grade. I also liked reading the Inheritance series and I like reading fiction in general.
I look forward to the rest of this course!
