Clinton Global Initiative University Meeting

Apply now to attend CGI U 2017, President Clinton’s initiative to engage the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs from college campuses around the world. CGI U 2017 will take place at Northeastern University from October 13 to 15, 2017, and will bring together young leaders from over 70 countries. To be considered, all students must submit a Commitment to Action: a new, specific, and measurable initiative to make a difference in one of five focus areas: education, climate change, human rights, poverty alleviation, and public health. Funding opportunities will be available to select CGI U commitment-makers. Additional information can be found here. The final application deadline is May 10, 2017.

Victory Fund’s internship program provides an opportunity to gain experience in LGBTQ political activism, communications or fundraising, and strengthen job-related skills. Openings in the following:

Virginia ABC Summer Internships

Virginia ABC is seeking Summer Interns to participate in a 10 week, paid internship program. This program is open to students of all majors and will help them gain real world skills in management, finance, budgeting, communication, public relations, marketing, enforcement, human resources, etc. Through work in various divisions within the agency, summer interns will develop essential leadership skills employers and graduate schools are looking for, as well as, foster interest in work at ABC which can potentially strengthen our future workforce. Participation in this internship program will not lead to permanent employment; however, interns will receive broad exposure to the organization, be challenged professionally and academically, and gain valuable networking contacts.


Hourly rate: $14.00, limited to 29 hours per week

Benefits: No Benefits

Location: Richmond, VA

Duration: June 5, 2017-August 11, 2017

Housing Community Engagement Fellow - Office of Community Engagement and Housing Partnerships, Inc.

The OCE is partnering with local nonprofit Housing Partnerships, Inc. to host a Community Engagement Fellow focused on housing and volunteer recruitment and training. We are excited about this new partnership and opportunity for a recent graduate to make a direct impact on a top-priority issue in our community.


The Housing Fellow will maximize the College of William & Mary’s human resources and commitment to service to better the housing conditions of those living in poverty in the larger community of Greater Williamsburg. The Fellow will receive a taxable stipend of $15,000 and the opportunity to live free of charge in the Graduate Complex. Read more about the position, and details of the fellowship.

US Dept of State Pathways - The Deputy Assistant Secretary for Operations

This position is within The Deputy Assistant Secretary for Operations (A/OPR) formulates and carries out policy and determines and develops program priorities on a broad range of administrative support and managerial activities for the organizations and employees of the Department and the Foreign Service, other Federal agencies, and the public. A/OPR manages and establishes policies for domestic real property and facility management, energy and other conservation programs, conference facilities and services, technical support services, the Diplomatic Reception Rooms, assistance to overseas schools, language services, administration of allowances, oversight of employee associations, and provision of various services to employees of the Department. National Communications Manager - United We Dream

The National Communications Manager will be charged with using their relationships with national and select local media to communicate the unique voice and perspective of United We Dream to our targets.
