Thank You to Mrs. Schatzle!
Once a year, we show appreciation for our beloved counselor, Mrs. Krista Schatzle, as we celebrate School Counselor's Appreciation Week. Though it isn't recognized or said enough, we are all very grateful for the unwavering love and support she provides both staff and students throughout the year. She is one of the first to lend a hand or a hug, and she exceeds every expectation to value and care for others. Behind the scenes, she does so much, and she often does so without being asked. We'd be lost without you, Mrs. Schatzle!

Valentine's Day Celebrations
CES and CUES will be celebrating Valentine's Day on Friday, February 12th. Our virtual students will be celebrating with Mr. Williams on this day, as well. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, parents will not be able to join us this year for In-Person celebrations. Also, all Valentine cards and holders will need to be brought to school on Monday, February 8th to allow time for everything to be quarantined for a few days prior to the party. Thank you for your support!
PICTURE RETAKES
We have a date! Monday, February 22, 2021. The pictures will be taken at CES from 8-8:30. Your child may enter the gym doors at CES during that time frame. There will be a staff member at the door monitoring admittance. If your child has missed the Fall pictures, please make sure that they get photographed for the yearbook that day. If you would like to purchase pictures, please go to mylifetouch.com and enter the following Picture Day ID number: EVTSR47BZ.

ABSENTEE HOTLINE
If your child is going to be absent, please call our Absentee Line @ 592-7981. Please send in a documented excuse if your child had an appointment.
Reminder that if your child has a fever or is vomiting, it is required that they remain home for 24 hours (medication free) from the time that they were first sick.
Thank you for helping us keep CUES healthy!
MEDICATION
At no time should your child transport medication to school. All medication must be brought to school by a parent or guardian. A medication administration form must be completed and any prescription medication must have information completed by your treating physician. We are not able to administer medication to your child if these procedures are not followed. We are happy to provide the following treatments when necessary: ice, Band-Aids, soap and water to wash abrasions, and always lots of love.

Cultivating Student Leaders
One of our sixth-grade students, Austin, is leading a Dungeons & Dragons club! The first meeting was held on Tuesday, January 19 and will take place weekly from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. in Mrs. Friday's room at C.U.E.S. Participants are excited to learn a game in which they use their creativity, math, geography, and social-emotional skills. Prior game experience is not necessary, as Austin is doing a fantastic job of orienting students to the game. Students who participate must make arrangements for transportation home.
