FACULTY AND STAFF
Health and Physical Education Department and Driver Education
Life in today’s society requires little physical effort. Lack of physical activity is making it more evident that there is a need for more quality programs in physical education.
It is important that every school has a comprehensive physical education program that will encourage interest and participation in lifelong physical activity. Instruction should stress the values and enjoyment of being a physically active individual. Students will learn how to fuel their bodies with a variety of foods from each of the food groups and how to select whole foods packed with nutrients. Ninth and tenth grade Health and Physical Education are required classes for graduation.
