Owl Notes
SEPTEMBER 28
A WORD TO THE WISE...
*OCTOBER - Can you believe that Monday is October 1? I don't know about you, but this year is going by quickly!
*ATTENDANCE - Must be taken at 9:00 a.m. Please set an alarm on your phone to remind you. TEA is monitoring this concerning our entire district. Help us help the district by doing it at 9:00 a.m.
*TEAM LEADER MEETING - We will have a team leader meeting on Monday. The agenda will be sent to team leaders.
* MATH STAFF DEVELOPMENT - This has been cancelled until further notice!.
*OBSERVATIONS - Kara and I are gearing up for observations. Pre-conferences are set and observations are being scheduled. If you are being observed this year and haven't signed up for the two week window, please take care of that by Monday afternoon.
*T-TESS - If you are new to our campus and did not participate in the T-TESS training at New Teacher Orientation, please let me know immediately. You must be trained before you can be observed.
* SCHEDULES POSTED - If you don't have a schedule posted outside your classroom door, please take time to get that done. I'd like to have them all up by the end of next week.If you want a template with the Owl on it, I'll be happy to send it to you.
*STORYBOOK CHARACTER PARADE/EARLY RELEASE DAY - The schedule for the day is in the Oak Ridge Elementary Canvas course under schedules. The parade will be at 8:45 a.m. Students will have an abbreviated "specials" class and all students will be served lunch before we leave for the day. There is not a recess schedule for that day as we have so many other things going on.
*PROJECTORS - Turn off when not in use!
*FALL FAMILY NIGHT COMMITTEE - There will be a quick meeting on Tuesday, October 2 in the library to discuss what we are doing that night.
*GT THREE PART MAINTENANCE TRAINING - If you are interested in participating in GT Maintenance training that Kara emailed about earlier in the year, MARK YOUR CALENDARS. The first date is October 16 after school in the library. You will have to attend all 3 sessions to get credit. This will give you 6 hours maintenance credit after all three sessions.
*JEANS PURCHASE - If you have coupons from last year, they can be used through the month of September (no more than 1 a week). If you want to purchase 1 more jeans day a week, you may do so through Kathie G. It is $5 per day or $20 for the month. Note that you may only wear jeans 1 extra day a week and you must wear a "dressy" top with them and no tennis shoes
*TEAM HUDDLES this week finishes the third rotation. We will start with Fourth grade on Monday, Specials on Tuesday and Special Ed on Thursday.
*TEAM HUDDLE QUESTION FOR THOUGHT - What is something you are struggling with or a stressor for you currently?
