Cultural divergence is the tendency for cultures to become increasingly dissimilar with time. a good example of this would be; back in ancient world history would be when most societies were hunter-gatherer each group shared many cultural traits. However, the switch to agriculture created cultural divergence due to the greater population per area of land, settled lifestyle (which led to the production of more children per family)
